Senior Accountant

CIS Group – ICT Company located in Jal El Dib, is looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team. 

This role offers the opportunity to work in a structured and fast-paced environment, taking ownership of accounting controls, financial reporting, and process improvements while collaborating with local accounting teams and other departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of accounting information across assigned entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all required accounting entries and inventory valuations are completed on time, account reconciliations are accurate, and gross margins are reviewed and verified.
• Review intercompany, bank, and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure balances are accurate, properly supported, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Review invoices, supporting documentation, and account ledgers to ensure accuracy and proper classification, while identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes.
• Review and monitor VAT, Social Security Contributions, WHT, and other tax declarations, ensuring the accuracy of reported information and compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor the quality and integrity of accounting records and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with internal controls and established procedures.
• Identify accounting errors, discrepancies, control weaknesses, and process inefficiencies, coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with local accounting teams and other departments to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording, proper documentation, and completion of accounting activities within established deadlines.

Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Financial Data Analysis. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess accounting information, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, manage priorities, and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and professional approach when working with colleagues from diverse nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds.
• Experience with accounting systems / ERP is an advantage.
• Languages: Arabic, English, and French.
