The celebration which was held on the boat restaurant, “Le Dauphin”, began with a welcoming speech given by Mr. Hachem Hachem, the General Director of RTI Algeria, followed by the word of Dr. Antoine Kareh, the General Director of CIS Group.

The drivers of the transition are Social Networks, Mobility, Big Data, Analytics, Hyper-Converged Solutions, Composable Infrastructure and the Hybrid Cloud; all leading to a new perspective & promise of Agility and Reduction of Cost” stated Dr. Kareh.
“Today the domain of IT is facing major challenges. While continuing to meet traditional needs, Information Systems must now be more agile, more flexible, allowing the rapid creation of added value via modern applications; which makes it possible to monetize an idea or data in a timely manner.” commented Mr. Samir Hafiz, General Director – French-Speaking Africa, HPE.
“We live in an economy of ideas where success is defined by the ability to transform ideas into value faster than the competition” emphasized Mr. Ammar Lababidy, Channel & Territory Director – MEMA, HPE.
The presentations were followed by a dinner to celebrate the event and discuss the strong points of the latest Information Technology, as well as the extensive range of products offered by RTI.
Culger 2017- HITT’s 3-year Celebration
Hiperdist Information Technology Trading, a division of CIS Group completed 3 years of operations on the 1st of October 2017. The celebrations were commemorated by inviting operational employees from CIS Lebanon who have played a pivotal role in the success over the years.
The anniversary celebration CULGER 2017 – The merger of cultures, was intended to grow the interpersonal relationship between employees from different regions so as to enhance the success of a cross-cultural workplace.
The itinerary for the first day of the event covered sight-seeing of Dubai’s spectacular attractions including The Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. The day concluded with a dinner at Dubai Mall.
The second day of the event started with a strategic ice-breaking sessions by Mr. Santosh Sansare, the General Manager of Hiperdist, Dubai, at the Hiperdist office followed by a team lunch at Atlantis, The Palm. The celebrations for the day concluded with a fun-filled chartered yaght cruise through Dubai Marina canal.
The final day of the event began with an informative presentation on Disruptive Innovation by Mr. Santosh Sansare, followed by a competition to accelerate employee engagement. Presentations continued soon after the lunch break by previously assigned teams on operational issues that have been pending for a long time and possible solutions.
Finally the sessions were concluded with an award ceremony and distribution of certificates to the participants. Mr. Adil Ali who heads the Computing Category won the grand prize at the end of the Disruptive Innovation quiz.
Following the sessions, the team enjoyed a fun outing at IMG Worlds of Adventure Amusement Park, and then the CIS team bid their goodbyes and left for the airport.
The event was very successful and beneficial for both CIS Lebanon and Hiperdist UAE teams, for it was a refreshing experience which resulted in better communication and problem-solving approaches for both teams.
Digital Transformation Middle East 2017
CIS participated in the “Digital Transformation Middle East 2017” exhibition that took place at the American University of Beirut on September 8 and 9, 2017.
The event provided a unique opportunity to take part in shaping the global conversation on digital disruption. The main objective of the sessions was to give new insights about the future of technology and business. For instance, how new technologies are challenging existing businesses, and how businesses are preparing for the evolution of technology.
Several current and foreign PHD holders participated in the event as speakers, along with chiefs and representatives from different organizations. Numerous sessions were held from 9:00am till 4:00 pm where speakers discussed topics related to visions into the future of technology and business including: Disrupting Finance, Transformation in Education, Digital Government, The Future of Human Capital, to name a few…
Experts shared their personal experience exploring the digital transformation wave.
Coffee breaks and lunches took place between sessions giving participants the chance to visit stands, socialize, and interact with one another.
