Job Description

 

Role and Responsibilities
-To diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
-To design, document, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
-To plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
-To maintain and administer computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations (HP, HP-UX, RedHat and SCOUNIX)
-To monitor the performance of computer systems and recommend changes to improve system performance
-To install, configure, and test operating system and other software
-To train users and answer questions
-To prepare and complete the required certifications
-To provide offshore missions technical preparation and study
-To provide offshore technical support for CIS Africa team
-To support CIS internally

-Ability to determine the root causes of operating errors and to decide what to do about it
-Comprehension of the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making
-Identification of complex problems and revision of related information to develop and evaluate options and implement the solutions
-Ability to adjust actions in relation to other’s actions

Job Requirements

 

-A university degree in CCE, Computer Science, or equivalent fields
-3-5 years of experience in same or similar field
-English is required, French is a plus
-Strong attention to details
-Problem solving skills
-Multi tasking and time management
-Ability and flexibility to travel
